Queer climbers on Vancouver Island

We cultivate opportunities and space for the LGBTQ2+ community to participate in climbing activities in a non-judgemental, respectful and welcoming environment while supporting educational programs and opportunities.

Land Acknowledgement

At GOATS, we want to acknowledge that we live, play, and climb on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish, Kwakwakiwak, and Nuu-cha-nulth Peoples. Climbing is a sport tied intimately with the land, and we give thanks to give thanks to the hereditary leaders, matriarchs, land defenders and Two-Spirit individuals that protect these territories.

Lead Lesson

Want to transition to harder climbing, or just up your belay game? GOATS is hosting a lead lesson Tuesday, April 21st from 7-10pm at The Boulders (Stelly's) Climbing Gym in Saanichton.

Cost is just the drop-in rate ($18.50) & sign-up is required. Check out the form for more info.

GOATS X No Man's Land Film Fest

Join us at the Vic Theatre on February 20th for a screening of 11 bold and inspiring ﬁlms from female and genderqueer ﬁlmmakers, athletes, and environmentalists from around the world.

Monthly Meet-ups

Join us at the gyms around Victoria! When you arrive, tell the desk you're looking for GOATS; some gyms offer a reduced drop-in rate. Then, come find your GOAT hosts in the colourful shirts!

1st Thursday: 7-9pm @ Victoria Boulder House
2nd Sunday: 10am-12pm @ Langford Boulder House
Last Wednesday: 7-9pm @ Crag-X
